Reading: Next week, we will continue Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning. Students will continue working on work on comparing and contrasting points of view in fiction texts, including the difference between first- and third-person narrations. The reading strategy we will be working on this week is predicting.
Math: Students will be working on multiplication using partial products to solve multiplication word problems.
Grammar/Writing: Students are working on our second unit of writing, which is about writing opinion and personal essays. Students will continue learning about relative pronouns.
Science: Students are learning about light in their science unit this week. Students will use mirrors to observe and understand light. Key vocabulary: Concave and Convex.
