This week in reading, we continue with learning how to interpret visual information in a text and explain how it helps them understand the text.
Math:
This week in Math, students will continue studying fractions, focusing on comparing fractions with our lessons.
We can compare fractions with different denominators by using visual fraction models. It is very important to remember though that you can only compare fractions of the SAME whole.

Grammar:
Students will begin a study on Idioms this week. Idioms are words, phrases, or expressions that are either grammatically unusual, or their meaning cannot be taken literally.
“Long time, no see!” “It's raining cats and dogs!”
Writing:
Students will be working on our Heritage Night projects.
Social Studies:
Students will be reviewing for Social Studies test that will be this week. Student will review for 2 days. The test will focus on the Bill of Rights (specifically the first amendment) and Branches of Government lessons. The study guide will be sent home on Monday.
