Week of May 6-10

Important Dates:

  • May 6, 7, & 8: MAP Testing from 12-2pm.
  • May 9: Unit 7 Math Test- Geometry
  • May 15: Quarter 4 Pride Assembly
  • May 16: Last Day for ASP
  • May 17: Last Day for Students 


Reading:
Students will learn about the Civil War by reading passages with the teacher and discussing the big ideas. We will use reading time to cover geometry standards in math in preparation for their Math Unit Test on Friday.

Math: 

Students will learn to classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Students will also learn how to recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.




ELT/Science:
Monday- Wednesday MAP TESTING
While some classes are finishing BAS assessments, students will continue to review force and motion, one of our  science standards.

Writing/Grammar:
Monday- Wednesday MAP TESTING
Students will be completing a memory book and practicing cursive writing skills.

Social Studies:
Monday- Wednesday MAP TESTING
In social studies, students will use what they are learning about Westward Expansion and the Civil War to complete a n ABC book. Guidelines for the project are outlined below.
